UNAIDS Secretariat launches Gender Action Plan 2018–2023
UNAIDS has launched its new Gender Action Plan for 2018–2023. The plan builds on the progress achieved under the 2013–2018 plan, which provided a framework to advance gender equality and empower women across the UNAIDS Secretariat.

Statistics on HIV/AIDS in Ukraine on 01.05.2018
According to the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, during the four months of 2018 – 5 764 new cases of HIV infection were registered (783 of them are amongst children under 14 years old). Altogether 321 382 new cases of HIV infection were officially registered in Ukraine since 1987. Since 1987 – 46 024 died from AIDS associated diseases in Ukraine. Ukraine keeps the leading position in Europe in terms of new HIV infection cases. According to UNAIDS experts’ assessment about 240,000 people in Ukraine live with HIV/AIDS.

Elena Pinchuk Foundation invites you to spend a day with Elton John in Kyiv
At the end of May, the world-renowned singer, public figure and the founder of the charity foundation aimed at fighting AIDS, Sir Elton John will return to Ukraine at the invitation of the Elena Pinchuk Foundation. As part of his visit, in Kyiv, the Elena Pinchuk Foundation, with the support of the Art-Zavod Platforma, Kurazh Bazar, the All-Ukrainian Network of PLWH and the Radio HIT FM, will hold an informational charity event "A Day with Elton John" aimed at preventing and engaging Ukrainians in the fight against AIDS in Ukraine.

Patients open the first medical center "100% of life" in Kyiv
The largest patient organization, the All-Ukrainian Network of PLWH, on the eve of the World Remembrance Day of AIDS Victims, opens a non-governmental medical center, which is a unique development of the patient community. Apple released iPhone unique (RED)
Apple Inc. announced the release of unique smartphones and iPhone 8 iPhone 8 Plus in red. The new model will be timed to coincide with a charity event (RED), in which part of the proceeds from sales of phones will be sent to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS.

Women left out of HIV services as they focus too much on gay men, charity says
Women's HIV is not being treated early enough, the Terence Higgins Trust has said, as it warns that campaigns are too focused on gay men. The charity's research shows that almost half of women with HIV thought they had been diagnosed late, which could shorten their lives and mean their health is worse.

Harry and Meghan name the charities guests can donate to instead of giving wedding presents, including a Mumbai women's group - and pay tribute to Diana by supporting children with HIV
The couple have asked guests and wellwishers to donate to charity rather than buying a gift when they tie the knot on 19th May, and now they have released the names of the seven charities they're hoping people will support. Harry and his bride-to-be have chosen organisations representing causes close to their hearts including, sport for social change, women's empowerment, conservation, the environment, homelessness and the Armed Forces. And they showed their determination to continue Princess Diana's work in support of people with HIV by nominating the Children's HIV Association.
